DREXEL ANTAK Contact Sucker Control Agent for Flue Cured and Cigar Tobacco
PCP #14165 · Drexel Chemical Company · Growth Regulator
Growth regulator containing fatty alcohol (n-Decanol) for control of sucker growth on flue-cured and cigar tobacco. Applied as a coarse spray emulsion that is effective only when in direct contact with suckers. Can be applied pre-topping (late button to early flower stage) or post-topping (within two days after topping). In many cases, a single application is satisfactory; if secondary sucker growth appears vigorous, a second treatment 5-7 days after initial treatment may be advantageous.
