About Paradigm Inputs
Paradigm Inputs is a crop-input marketplace built for Western Canadian farmers. We source certified premium generic (off-patent) crop-protection products directly from international manufacturers and distribute them through a network of independent, local agronomic brokers on our own software platform, including AgAssistant, our embedded agronomic-intelligence layer. Our mission is to make it possible for trusted people in rural communities to run their own crop-input businesses on infrastructure built for the way agriculture actually works. We are headquartered in Calgary, Alberta and serve growers across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
About the role
As our Broker Relationship Manager & Agronomy Expert, you will be the trusted partner who helps independent brokers launch, grow, and succeed, and the agronomic resource they rely on. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will guide new brokers through every step of launching their crop-input business, from incorporation, insurance, and licensing to platform onboarding and their first sale, then stay close as their go-to contact for product, agronomic, and platform questions. This is a relationship-driven role for someone with genuine agronomic credibility who earns trust quickly and loves helping rural entrepreneurs succeed.
What you will do
- Own broker onboarding end-to-end: guide new brokers through business setup (incorporation, insurance, branding, banking) and platform onboarding, with the goal of a fast, smooth path to their first sale.
- Support the acquisition pipeline: manage outreach and track prospects from first interest through commitment and activation in the CRM.
- Shepherd licensing and compliance: help brokers complete corporate setup, commercial liability insurance, and pesticide or dispenser licensing on schedule.
- Be the broker's agronomic resource: translate product and agronomic information into clear advice and materials brokers can use with their farmer customers.
- Be the broker's go-to liaison: connect brokers with operations, fulfillment, and the commercial team so nothing falls through the cracks.
What you bring
- A strong agronomic background and real credibility with farmers and crop-protection resellers. You can speak the language of the field.
- 3+ years in ag-retail sales, agronomy, account management, or customer onboarding and success.
- A natural relationship builder who earns trust quickly across the rural ag community.
- Process discipline: you run repeatable onboarding that moves brokers from "yes" to active quickly.
- Proficiency with CRM and pipeline tracking.
- Excellent teaching and communication skills that make technical product, agronomic, and platform information easy to act on.
Nice to have
- A CCA (Certified Crop Advisor) designation or an agronomy diploma or degree.
- Existing relationships across the Western Canada agricultural community.
- Experience selling or supporting crop-protection products.
- Experience helping small businesses or dealers get started (incorporation, licensing, insurance).
